FORM/USE: 'WILL BE ABLE TO'
Se usa 'will be able to' + infinitivo para expresar habilidad o posibilidad en el futuro. Es equivalente a 'podrá' o 'será capaz de' en español.

Ejemplos
(1). Without them I will not be able to play football.
Sin ellas no podré jugar fútbol.
(2). If you need a musical instrument, I can bring my guitar but unfortunately I won't be able to play it because I have never learned it.
Si necesitas un instrumento musical, puedo traer mi guitarra pero desafortunadamente no podré tocarla porque nunca he aprendido.
(3). She will be able to speak English fluently after this course.
Ella podrá hablar inglés con fluidez después de este curso.
Uso de ‘Will be able to’
Estructura
Afirmativo: will + be able to + verbo en infinitivo Negativo: will not (won’t) + be able to + verbo en infinitivo Interrogativo: Will + sujeto + be able to + verbo en infinitivo?
Cuándo usar
- Para expresar habilidad futura: I will be able to drive next year (Podré manejar el próximo año)
- Para hablar de posibilidad futura: Will you be able to help me? (¿Podrás ayudarme?)
- En situaciones condicionales: If I study hard, I will be able to pass the exam (Si estudio mucho, podré aprobar el examen)
Diferencias con el español
- En español usamos principalmente ‘poder’ en futuro (podré, podrás, podrá)
- También se puede traducir como ‘ser capaz de’ en futuro
- A diferencia del español, en inglés siempre necesitas la estructura completa ‘will be able to’
Nivel A2
Esta estructura es fundamental en nivel A2 para expresar planes y posibilidades futuras de manera más específica que el simple ‘can’.
