FORM/USE: AFTER 'IF', FUTURE SITUATIONS
Se usa 'will' en la oración principal después de una cláusula con 'if' para hablar sobre situaciones posibles en el futuro.
Oraciones principales
(op). If I need a camera, I will use my mobile phone.
Si necesito una cámara, usaré mi teléfono móvil.
Ejemplos
(1). And if my mum can, she will fetch you.
Y si mi mamá puede, ella te recogerá.
(2). If you can help me, I will be very happy.
Si puedes ayudarme, estaré muy feliz.
(3). If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home.
Si llueve mañana, me quedaré en casa.
Primera Condicional con ‘will’
Estructura
If + presente simple, sujeto + will + verbo base
Esta estructura se usa para expresar situaciones posibles en el futuro y sus consecuencias probables.
Uso
- Se usa cuando creemos que algo puede pasar en el futuro
- La cláusula con ‘if’ siempre va en presente simple (nunca ‘will’ después de ‘if’)
- La oración principal lleva ‘will’ + verbo base
Diferencias con el español
- En español usamos futuro en ambas partes: “Si llueve, me quedaré en casa”
- En inglés, NO se puede usar ‘will’ después de ‘if’:
If it will rain❌ - Correcto: If it rains ✅
